Myria Petrou Asks University of Michigan Lead Counsel Tim Lynch About Unholy Alliance Between Employers, Family & Law Enforcement

Dear Mr Lynch,
I am writing to clarify the circumstances under which the University was/is in possession of a “Do Not Distribute” FBI report from January and February 2018 documenting false allegations of mental instability with respect to myself and Dr. Foerster made by my mother Maria Petrou, as well as false allegations of some “mystery” person (“Shonda”) that we were apparently according to my mother under the control of. As documented in the FBI report my mother had also dragged my demented father along for this. Also documented in the report is that there was no accompanying evidence. As you are aware my parents when they went to the FBI they had not seen us or spoken to us for over a year.
The report was released to us via a FOIA request to the University of Michigan for any law enforcement reports in September 2019 after Dr. Foerster and I had left the University of Michigan. Nobody at the University of Michigan ever informed us that the University had these documents.
When we inquired both with law enforcement and with legal counsel we obtained the same response - that based on the unredacted nature of the two Maria Petrou witness interviews and the do not distribute notation the only person who could have this report and taken it to the University of Michigan would have been the witness and/or their attorney which at the time would have been my mother and/or her attorney Jim Reach also cced in this communication.
My mother Maria Petrou has said that she never gave this to the University of Michigan. But then she also repeatedly stated she never went to the FBI until she was confronted with this report…
This was clearly false reporting to federal law enforcement not only because there have never been any issues of mental instability with respect to either myself or Dr. Foerster but also because not even the best health professional can make such a claim when they have not interacted with the person in over a year.
Further, the false reporting of mental instability by my mother echoes her reporting to the Ann Arbor police a year prior when my mother and her friend who had also not seen me or spoken to me for over a year made similar allegations. Part of the “substantiating evidence” at the time were some alleged texts found on an old password protected iPad that was sitting in my mother’s house and that Detective Rougeau downloaded without a search warrant and without ever informing us.
Perhaps the timing of these false allegations to the FBI is most interesting as it coincides with us filing a civil RICO case in federal court exposing numerous unlawful acts to defraud us of our Ann Arbor properties.
One of the key aspects of the case was my mother’s false allegations to the Ann Arbor police used to freeze our accounts without probable cause or probable cause file as well as that the first lien position on our construction loan as documented by the Register of Deeds was not paid at sheriff sale.
When AG Nessel was investigating the “missing” 270k from the sheriff sale this past fall before AG Nessel decided “not to investigate”, my mother resurfaced recycling these false allegations of mental instability/unreasonable behavior/mean behavior and everything under the sun and the false allegations went away when AG Nessel dropped the investigation.
In the last week when the Washtenaw County Prosecutor is looking at the missing 270k given the contradictory information by the Bank of Ann Arbor and American Title, I have received hundreds of texts by my mother with not only the same old slew of false allegations of mental instability etc and also threats of her showing up at our doorstep and “watch out” if we don’t open the door. Eli, I hope you don’t drop the investigation because of this.
Mr Lynch, can you please confirm that you obtained a copy of the FBI report labeled do not distribute regarding my parents false allegations to the FBI in January and February 2018 from my mother ? Why did you not inform us? If you had a lot of what happened with respect to our properties and our employment could have been very different. And somehow I don’t think I would be dealing with the current harassment and threats. Again what is this bizarre unholy alliance between employers, family and law enforcement ? Why would the university go along with rants and lies of a 78 year old grandmother from Cyprus with property/financial incentives in the mix? Which continue to put our family’s wellbeing in jeopardy ?
Is this what the University of Michigan wants?
