Tom Kent was the City Attorney who defended the Ann Arbor Police’s lack of probable cause file for the search warrants that froze our bank accounts for over a year and resulted in the loss of our house through the foreclosure/Sheriff’s sale. After Tom Kent obstructed the release of the search warrant affidavits (including asking the Attorney Grievance Commission NOT to release the affidavits to us; the AGC released the documents given that Kent’s request was unconstitutional), Tom Kent was hired by the the University of Michigan and received a substantial raise.
